First Staff Meeting for 2010 Announced!

Hey folks just dropping you a line to say mark off your calenders for March 27 (Saturday) as the first Staff/Planning meeting. Bring notes and ideas with you, any thoughts good/bad or experiences you would like us to know about. We currently plan on having it at he convention hotel and I'll update this post as soon as I know where and times for certain.

For those of you curious what we have been doing the last few months check out http://www.kawaii-kon.org/ to see whats going on at our upcoming "flagship" show, now in its 6th year!

Have you come up with the when and where yet for the meeting? I'm trying to get that day off but it really does help if we know that information so we can plan ahead.

We are having a little issue with the hotel, we are still hoping to have the meeting there in the afternoon (the first flight into Indy from Atlanta doesn't get in til almost noon). We are thinking 2pm or 3pm to give us a chance to get over there and maybe a quick bite to eat before the meeting. I'll post as soon as I have something definate.

As for how long that will depend on you guys really. This is going to be about early planning and getting feedback directly from staff and locals interested in having ahand in the way the con takes shape.

Hey guys just got the email saying we are confirmed to be in the Harrison room and we will plan to be there at 2pm and the meeting will run as long as it needs too.

I'll update if that changes (like we miss our flight or something).

Heyo guys, it was great seeing everyone again since the holidays. I just got home after visiting my nieces this weekend and I got some great feedback which I'll be sharing with all the directors.

Please remember this is your show, now that we have a idea of what to expect we can expand upon our strengths and have a even better show this year.

Also if you were on staff or a director and you do not have access to the private staff/director section please send me a pm and we will confirm you. (Please include your real name and where you worked)

Mike,

Since the post-con forum crash apparently wiped out all our forum notifications/subscriptions, I didn't get a notification about this new post, so we didn't know about this staff meeting until it was over... If we weren't the only ones who missed it, it might be a good idea to send out an email to last year's staff in case other people have been relying on the email notices for their updates, rather than logging in regularly. Or maybe it was just me. ^_^;

Anyway, I'm sorry I missed the meeting. Please let me know if there's anything you would like us to take action on for ACross 2010!

No worries, this first meeting was really a sounding out sessions so we can hear what each department liked/disliked and would like to see in the future. I'll be announceing the next meeting as soon as I get back from Kawaii-kon and have a chance to see what days off I can manage in May.
